In Salento, near Specchia, in a place called Cardigliano, famous for the historical presence of a ghost town, since 2oo1 there has been an attraction that is incredible. A permanent residence of Love. Love in its most carnal and passionate form.
This is the house-museum of Antonio Baldassarre, a painter and sculptor from Salento, who has dedicated all these years to the creation of an immense park where statues, fountains, bas-reliefs and mosaics tell of a single subject, Love.
The tour of the museum begins with a series of statues overlooking an open-air theater. Around, bas-reliefs that evoke sex scenes. Works that recall the temple of Khajuraho, in India.

The journey continues among bizarre fountains, well-kept lawns, plants such as myrtle (sacred to Aphrodite), stone turtles and a beautiful, deep pool.

The route winds through paths and avenues that tell through images the stories of profane love from every era. There is also a sculpture with the likeness of the artist who created the park-museum, Antonio Baldassarre.

The external part ends in a labyrinth, a maze to be precise, as the entrance is known but it is very difficult to reach the exit. An allegory of the confusion that is experienced in the whirlwind of amorous passions.

Water lilies inhabit the waters of the various fountains in the park.
