The editorial staff of Amore di Puglia paid an exclusive visit to the living nativity scene in Mottola, just a few hours after the entrance on stage of over one hundred extras who will animate the action of the nativity scene in the evocative rocky landscape of the crypt of the Madonna delle Sette Lampade, at the exit of the town.
The Mottola Living Nativity Scene will take place over two days, the first, traveling to Bethlehem, will be Sunday 18 December 2022 with a double opening in the morning and evening.
The second is scheduled for Thursday, January 5, 2022, with opening hours from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. On this last date, the scenes of the so-called Edict of Herod will be represented and the arrival of the Magi will be represented.
The nativity scene winds through caves, ravines and crypts of Byzantine origin. It is a unique itinerary, made suggestive by the difference in level of the land, and by the presence of limestone caves inhabited by men for much of the Middle Ages.
