La bellissima Otranto contiene nel suo castello un ricco museo archeologico, con all’interno una mostra permanente dal titolo “I luoghi della Preistoria. Porto Badisco e la Grotta dei Cervi”.
Located in the halls of the Aragonese Castle, inside, the visitor is projected into a world that has been closed to historians and enthusiasts since the last century: the one that opened up with the sensational discovery of the Badisco cave, in February 1970.
The route winds through a series of six rooms, inside which you can even try the evocative experience of a virtual entrance into the Grotta dei Cervi through a 3D vision with special glasses.
The exhibition offers an unprecedented view of approximately 250 archaeological finds selected from the 1970-1971 excavations of the Archaeological Superintendency.
