A tradition that lives on thanks to the different communities of the districts of Monopoli. Places scattered across the Murgia with their own identity. The carnival takes place on the first three Sundays of the carnival period and on Shrove Tuesday, for a total of four districts and four unmissable events. The districts involved are, Impalata, Lamalunga, L'Assunta and Santa Lucia.
An original and unusual idea. Celebrate among floats and masks in the open countryside. An alternative and happy way to spend the Sundays of Carnival and the magical Shrove Tuesday, the last day of celebration before the Easter awakening.
The editorial staff of Amore di Puglia on Sunday 12 February 2023 wanted to bear witness to this extravagant Apulian carnival, diving between dry stone walls and trulli, and singing and parading with masked floats.
