Giuseppe Cino (1645-1722) can be considered the last interpreter of Baroque architectural culture in Lecce. His model was Giuseppe Zimbalo. The seminary of Lecce, the high altar of Santa Maria dei Martiri di Martignano and the church of Carmine in Lecce are documented as his works.
In Novoli, in the church of San Salvatore, in 1702, he models and creates an elaborate stone altar.
An eclectic character, he was also the author of the valuable “Memoirs dealing with events that occurred in Lecce from 1656 to 1719”.
